Our Story

Just Remember was founded in 2019 by Chris and Brittney Reed to support families grieving the loss of a child between the ages of newborn and 18 years old.

After the tragic and sudden loss of their 9 year old son Christopher "JR" Reed II, Chris and Brittney tried several different support groups and forums but, couldn't find one they felt they could relate to.  They started Just Remember with the intention of helping families that were in a similar situation as they were; lost, without an outlet or any peer groups that fully understand the gravity and emotions that they go though on a daily basis.

Throughout JR’s time on earth he was able to touch lives all across the country: San Diego, CA, Columbus, OH, Jacksonville, FL, and Nashville, TN. Having lived in 4 different states, JR quickly found that sports was a way to make meaningful connections. His passion for football, basketball, and track & field was evident to anyone who met him.

JR was in Mrs. Mullins’ 3rd grade class at Edmondson Elementary in Brentwood, TN. He left us to go to Heaven on October 31, 2018.

JR loved to laugh and make other people smile. He loved to watch highlights of Odell Beckham Jr., Steph Curry, and Kobe Bryant. He loved to play video games. He loved Bruno Mars and hiding snacks everywhere in the house. But most of all, he loved his family.

Just Remember is focused on providing support, resources, and other services to families through the life long journey and grieving process following the loss of a child.
In addition, Just Remember provides scholarships and sponsorship to youth sports teams in remembrance of Christopher "JR" Reed II and to continue his love and passion of sports and competition."
